FIGHT FOOD WASTE DESIGN COMPETITION
Terms and Conditions of Entry:

1. OzHarvest is the promoter of the “Fight Food Waste Design Competition ”.

2. The “Fight Food Waste Design Competition” commences at 9:00am AEST on 21 July 2025 and closes at 5:00pm AEST on 22 September 2025.

3. The Competition is open to all primary and secondary school students across Australia.

4. Entries must be submitted via the online portal provided by OzHarvest. A student may only submit one entry to the competition.

5. To be eligible to win a prize, students must complete and submit the official template, including:
a. A creative design for the front of the Use It Up Tape® box and tape; and
b. An A4 portrait poster that promotes food waste reduction.

6. OzHarvest will appoint a panel of judges to assess the entries. Entries will be judged on the following criteria:
a. Creative Expression: Designs should be imaginative, vibrant, and inspire households to reduce food waste; and
b. Branding Alignment: Entries must incorporate OzHarvest’s signature branding elements, including bright yellow and black text.

7. Prizes will be awarded as follows:
National Winner (Primary and Secondary):
a. Design featured on official Use It Up Tape packaging in 2026; and
b. OzHarvest merchandise pack, movie tickets, achievement certificate; and
c. $1,000 voucher for the school (Woolworths, Bunnings, or Officeworks); and
d. Recognition on OzHarvest’s website and social media.

State/Territory Finalists (Primary and Secondary):
a. OzHarvest merchandise pack; and
b. Achievement certificate.

Every school entry:
a. A class pack of Use It Up Tape with the winning design; and
b. A Participation certificate.

8. Winners will be announced on 16 October 2025 and notified using the contact details provided by their school representative or submitted individually.

9. OzHarvest will only publish the winners’ initials and the name of their school when announcing the results on its website.

10. Prizes will be delivered to the winning schools within 28 days of the announcement.

11. All entrants’ details will be used solely for the purpose of administering the “Fight Food Waste Design Competition” and will be securely stored in OzHarvest’s database. For more information about our commitment to protecting your privacy, please refer to the OzHarvest Privacy Policy.

12. By entering the competition, participants grant OzHarvest a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and publish submitted designs and any subsequent modifications for promotional and educational purposes.

13. OzHarvest reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition at any time. Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash. If a prize becomes unavailable, OzHarvest will substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.

14. Whilst OzHarvest will make reasonable efforts to adhere to the dates and timeframes noted above, these are indicative only, and may be adjusted at OzHarvest’s discretion, due to operational or logistic constraints.

15. All decisions made by OzHarvest and the Judges in relation to the “Fight Food Waste Design Competition” are final and not negotiable.
