Cooking For A Cause

Cooking for a Cause is a unique team building activity with soul and purpose. We offer hands-on cooking engagements for corporate groups of all sizes at various locations around Australia.

COVID-19 Update

To ensure the health and safety of participants, our staff and volunteers, and the community we serve, we have made the difficult decision to pause the Cooking For A Cause program in all locations until further notice. While we would love to have your team cooking together at OzHarvest, we have a new online cooking workshop – Cooking at Home with OzHarvest.

Cooking at Home

Our new online workshop brings nutritious cooking right into your home! Your team will be guided through a hands-on cooking class by OzHarvest chefs live streamed from our kitchen. A truly unforgettable activity to reinforce or reset your team dynamic, learn new skills, practice sustainability and spread a grateful spirit throughout your workplace.

Each guest will be sent recipe cards, an equipment list, and an ingredients box (optional) ahead of the session and our follow up will include the awesome digital Cooking at Home with OzHarvest recipe book, packed with over 25 recipes and zero-waste tips to continue your sustainable, flavour journey.

Your Impact

Many companies offer corporate team cooking events, but few come with the satisfaction of knowing you have not only saved good food from landfill, but also created nutritious meals for people who often don’t know where their next meal is coming from. Calculated by Bain & Co, our social return on investment (SROI) reveals the true impact OzHarvest is making in the community. For every dollar invested into OzHarvest, food rescue returns $7.70 to the community by cutting the costs of food bills for charitable agencies, which allows their finances to be directed into specialised core services.
