How It Works
Led by the masters of zero-waste cooking, our chefs host teams of all sizes in the OzHarvest kitchens (or hired commercial kitchens). From learning how to chop an onion properly, to cooking root to stem – you’ll be inspired by this hands-on cooking session full of practical tips and tricks for you to apply at home. After creating delicious and nutritious meals, teams help pack the food ready for OzHarvest to deliver to local charities. The good news is there’s no washing up and you get to taste your culinary delights!
Cooking for a cause can be tailored to suit any group size and, in some locations, can be extended to include a sit down 3-course meal (ask us about Cooking for a Cause PLUS). It’s fun and full of purpose as your impact can be seen immediately through the number of meals created – often well over 100 portions. Above all, you’ll be helping us to ‘Nourish our Country.’
