OzHarvest Tasmania
Tell us where you are
OzHarvest acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work. As a national organisation, we recognise the continuing connection First Nations peoples have to their lands, waters, and cultures across Australia. In lutruwita (Tasmania), we acknowledge the unceded lands of the palawa people, particularly the people of kanamaluka which is the home of our first Tasmanian chapter. We pay our deepest respects to their Elders, past and present, and honour their enduring connection to this land. We also extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, recognising the immense knowledge they hold in living sustainably and caring for Country.

DonateBringing Food Rescue to Launceston
OzHarvest is thrilled to launch operations in Tasmania, beginning in Launceston! Our food rescue van is on the road four days a week, collecting surplus food from local supermarkets, farmers, and other generous partners. By working with the local community, we are turning quality surplus into nutritious meals for people experiencing food insecurity. As we expand, we aim to bring the OzHarvest model to Hobart and beyond, reaching more Tasmanians who need our support.
FEAST Program in Tasmanian Schools
Through our award-winning FEAST program, OzHarvest Tasmania is also helping young people develop sustainable food habits. Delivered in schools statewide, FEAST combines curriculum-aligned learning with hands-on cooking classes, empowering students to create delicious meals while reducing food waste.
Join the Movement
OzHarvest is more than just food rescue – it’s a movement to fight hunger and food waste, and it can’t happen without the support of our local community. If you’d like to get involved, support us by volunteering, donating, or spreading the word. Let’s make a difference in Tasmania, together.
