Food Rescue
Started in 2015, OzHarvest WA has grown quickly and is making a big impact delivering around 80,000 meals each week. Our Perth based team has seven yellow vans which collect over 26,000 kgs of surplus food a month from local food donors across Perth and the Greater Metropolitan area.

Food Relief during COVID-19
In the wake of COVID-19, to keep up with demand of those experiencing food insecurity in the local community, OzHarvest WA launched two new programs: Hospitality Heroes and Hampers For Hope. Our Hospitality Heroes program creates cooked meals with our friends in the hospitality sector. Some of our Hospitality Heroes include Bread In Common, WA Parliament House and Crowne Plaza Perth. Our Hampers for Hope program creates and distributes food packages to communities in need.

Volunteer
OzHarvest WA has over 200 volunteers who share their skills, time, energy and hearts to boost the work we do.
Volunteer activities include (but are not limited to): assisting with food rescue in our yellow vans, helping out with events and Cooking for a Cause classes, hamper packing and distribution and container washing!

Cooking for a Cause
Cooking for a Cause is a unique team building experience, where our talented chefs help you transform rescued ingredients into gourmet meals, which then get delivered to local charities. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, classes are currently on hold but we hope to be back by mid-2021.

FEAST
FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) is a curriculum aligned program aimed at year 5 and 6 students. FEAST runs for 7-10 weeks and is a STEM project-based learning program focusing on food and sustainability. The teacher-led program can be adapted and changed to suit your school’s needs.
Like any good FEAST, it’s designed to be fun, engaging and filled with good food.
