OzHarvest is connecting classroom learning to real-world impact with the launch of its first ever Fight Food Waste Design Challenge, a national competition open to primary and secondary students to get creative to fight food waste at home!

With Australians wasting over 7.6 million tonnes of food every year, and a national target to halve food waste by 2030, OzHarvest is calling on students to be part of the solution!

There are two parts to the competition: :

1. A limited-edition packaging design for our Use It Up Tape®, a simple tool proven to reduce food waste by up to 40%
2. An educational poster to inspire action!

The judging panel includes industry experts:

– Costa Georgiadis – Environmental Educator and TV presenter
– Craig Reucassel – Broadcaster and War on Waste presenter
– Ronni Kahn AO – OzHarvest founder and Visionary in Residence
