Adelaide’s first Great Food Rescue Race!

by OzAdmin

In a little over three weeks the pace in Adelaide’s CBD will be stepped up a notch as competitors in Adelaide’s first Great Food Rescue Race hit the pavement. To say we’re getting a bit excited is an understatement!!

Presented by Santos and OzHarvest, The Great Food Rescue Race is a food and food-rescue themed foot race through the CBD.  Less ‘boot camp’ more ‘foodie fun’ the Great Food Rescue Race starts and finishes in Victoria Square and takes in a series of food and food rescue themed locations through the CBD.  Here’s a little clip that Channel 44 put together for us covering the event.

We’ve been absolutely overjoyed at the enthusiasm from Adelaide to support and participate in the event. Already we have a many teams registered, and several are well on their way to achieving their own fundraising goals for the event.  Our thanks particularly to Santos as our Principle Event Partner, along with Sponsors bigwig advertising and digital, Haycom, Hilton Adelaide, Splash Adelaide, Tuckers Natural, Community Benefit SA, Barossa Valley Brewing, Channel 44, Hither & Yon, and Partners Andres Cucina, Adelaide Oval, Adelaide Central Market, Brand South Australia, Common Ground, The Productive Garden Co., Migration Museum, St Lukes, OTR | On The Run, Ecocaddy. With every $1 meaning 2 additional meals that OzHarvest can rescue and deliver for people in Adelaide, we are incredibly grateful to every one for getting behind the cause.
