Menulog Delivers Goodness to OzHarvest
by OzAdmin
Menulog has gone the extra mile this festive season, holding a food drive with their employees to provide extra support for OzHarvest’s food relief operations.
Last week, a van was driven around to team members’ houses over two days, collecting food that was then delivered to OzHarvest’s Waterloo Market. In total, the team donated 160kgs of food ranging from delicious snacks to dry goods, canned foods and much more, allowing OzHarvest to distribute an additional 320 meals to people in need.
Alexandra Jones, HR Business Partner at Menulog, said, “Using our big orange Menulog van for the OzHarvest Food Drive was such a good initiative and I was very keen to help out. With so many of us still working from home, this was a great way for us all to connect with each other and with OzHarvest!”
The food drive comes as added support to their partnership with OzHarvest, which has already promised to provide at least 200,000 meals over one year through the Meal 4 Good campaign. On the last Friday of every month, Menulog will donate the cost of a meal to OzHarvest for every order placed to one of Menulog’s Local Legend restaurant partners.
Morten Belling, Menulog Managing Director, ANZ, said: “Menulog is really proud to partner with OzHarvest. The work they do in providing food relief for people who need it most is so important, particularly at this time of year and following two years of really challenging conditions for so many Australians. The Menulog team have really engaged with the cause and jumped at the chance to support OzHarvest with the Food Drive and participate in emergency food hamper packing at OzHarvest HQ.”
You can help keep OzHarvest’s wheels turning by donating. For every $1 donated, OzHarvest is able to deliver two meals to people in need. Donate today at ozharvest.org.
