With demand for food relief higher than ever before, OzHarvest—Australia’s leading food rescue organisation—has launched an emergency fundraising appeal and an amazing multi-artist concert “Unite to Feed Australia LIVE” at ICC Sydney Theatre for one night only on Thursday 7th November.  

OzHarvest Founder Ronni Kahn AO said the organisation has never faced anything like this in its two decades of service. “In a country that produces enough food to feed everyone, there are two million households* experiencing severe food insecurity. Every day we see new faces, people with jobs and mortgages who never imagined they’d need food relief – people just can’t make ends meet anymore. At the same time, we have over 850 charities on our waiting list to receive food – something has to change!”  

OzHarvest is putting on this unique event, to bring everyone together to raise awareness and crucial funds to tackle this national issue. “I took some inspiration from Live Aid to get an awesome line up of 18 much loved Aussie artists to perform at Unite to Feed Australia LIVE! This is more than a concert—it’s a call to action and every ticket goes towards our goal to deliver an additional five million meals to help our communities in need,” said Ronni. 

Unite to Feed Australia LIVE! presented by Woolworths will be hosted by the Seven Network’s Johanna Griggs and comedian Jimmy Rees, and features Courtney Act, Air Land Sea, William Barton, Daryl Braithwaite, William Crighton, Human Nature, Jess Hitchcock, Emmanual Kelly, Lior, Fanny Lumsden, Felix Riebl, Conrad Sewell, Danielle Spencer, Sydney Street Choir, Tierney Brothers & Dylan Wright, with special guest Sir Bob Geldof! 

Thanks to Presenting Partner Woolworths and event supporters bp, Suncorp Bank, Ticketek, Supergiant and Eat the Elephant who have joined forces to ensure all proceeds from ticket sales will help make a tangible difference in people’s lives. All participating artists are generously donating their time for the cause.
