Unlock the gift of giving with ofo this Christmas

by OzAdmin

Free ofo rides this December with a meal donated to OzHarvest for each ride taken

Adelaidians and Sydneysiders can unlock the gift of giving this Christmas with ofo, the world’s leading bike share company. This December ofo is proudly supporting OzHarvest, Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, whilst also providing free rides for the whole of December. With the season of giving upon us, ofo will donate $0.50 to OzHarvest for every Australian trip taken on an ofo bicycle between 18-23 December. That’s one meal donated to an Australian in need for every free trip taken – so get cycling!

OzHarvest collects quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivers it directly to more than 1000 charities supporting people in need across the country, and has delivered over 76 million meals to date. Whenever you unlock ofo’s bright yellow bikes to explore the wonders of Sydney and Adelaide this Christmas, Australians in need will benefit from a free meal from OzHarvest.

Scott Walker, Head of Strategy, ofo Australia said As the festive season is the season of good will, ofo is giving free rides to users throughout December, whilst also donating a meal to OzHarvest for every trip made between 18th and 23rd December. We hope this initiative will feed thousands of people in need whilst getting people active, reducing air pollution and food waste… all you need to do is download the app, unlock and go!”

Henrietta Ardlie, Head of Fundraising, OzHarvest, said “By ofo donating 50 cents a trip made in Australia, we can provide a nourishing meal to help feed people in need this Christmas, whilst also reducing food waste. We love the fact that this initiative will also get people out exploring Australia, being active and reducing air pollution too!”
