The OzHarvest Grand Prix Raffle

Terms and Conditions of Entry:

This Raffle is run by OzHarvest  (ABN: 33 107 782 196 ) of Unit 3 / 49 Bertie St, Port Melbourne, VIC, 3207 (“OzHarvest”). To contact OzHarvest, please call 03 9999 5070.

  • To be eligible to enter the raffle, a Person must purchase a raffle ticket using the following link: OzHarvest : Raffle or be a named gift recipient of a raffle ticket purchased by another person.
  • Information on eligibility and how to enter the raffle forms part of the terms and conditions of entry.
  • Purchase of a raffle ticket is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions by the person whose name is completed on the ticket.
  • Where a ticket in the competition is purchased as a gift for and/or on behalf of another person (“gift recipient”), the purchaser of the ticket is deemed to be acting as an agent for the gift recipient and the gift recipient will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  • These terms and conditions apply to all eligible entries into and/or prizes in the competition.
  • All proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets will be donated to OzHarvest.

WHO CAN ENTER?

  • Entry is open only to all permanent residents of VIC, aged 18 years or older.
  • Employees, directors or officers of OzHarvest, any companies or agencies associated with this raffle, and their immediate families, are ineligible to purchase raffle tickets. Immediate families means a spouse or former spouse, de facto partner or former de facto partner, child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, grandparent, grandchild, sibling, or stepsibling of an employee of Camp Quality OzHarvest.

HOW TO ENTER

  • To be eligible to enter the raffle, a Person must purchase a raffle ticket using the following link: OzHarvest : Raffle or be a named gift recipient of a raffle ticket purchased by another person.
  • Raffle ticket sales will commence on Thursday 30 March 2023 at 8am (AEST) and conclude on Sunday 2 April 2023 at 11.59pm (AEST) (“Promotion Period”), unless sold out prior.
  • 40,000 tickets will be available for sale. Each ticket costs $5.00.
  • To be eligible to enter the raffle, entrants must, during the Promotion Period:
    1. purchase a raffle ticket/s online via https://events.ozharvest.org/raffle/grand-prix and provide their contact details (first name, last name, residential address, valid email address and mobile phone number) in the section provided; or
    2. be a named gift recipient of a raffle ticket purchased by another person.
  • OzHarvest will issue an e-ticket, for each ticket purchased, which may be printed by the recipient, together with the ticket receipt. No paper tickets will be issued.
  • No late entries will be accepted. Incomplete or incomprehensible entries will be ineligible.
  • Entrants are not restricted or limited to the number of raffle tickets which may be purchased during the Promotion Period.
  • OzHarvest reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Failure by OzHarvest to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.

PRIZES

  • 1st Prize:  2 x Four-Day Grandstand Tickets AND 2 x Guided Paddock Tours to the Formula 1 Australia Grand prix 2024 (valued at over $2,100).
  • 2nd Prize: 2 nights stay at InterContinental Sorrento Mornington Peninsula for 2 adults. Donated by IHG, valued at $500.
  • 3rd Prize: 1 night stay at Club InterContinental Melbourne for 2 adults, including breakfast. Donated by IHG, valued at $400.
  • 4th prize: 1 night stay at Holiday Inn Werribee for 2 adults, including breakfast. Donated by IHG, valued at $300.
  • 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th Prizes: Double Hoyts LUX pass. Donated by Hoyts, valued at $86 each.
  • 10th and 11th Prizes: Family pass to Lume Melbourne at The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Donated by Lume, valued at $32.50 each.
  • The winner is responsible for making arrangements to claim their prize.
  • If a prize is not available for any reason, OzHarvest reserves the right to substitute the prize with another item of equal or greater value than the original prize and the winner agrees in writing, or the original prize is unavailable due to circumstances beyond the control of OzHarvest and reasonable attempts are made to reach agreement with the winner of the prize are unsuccessful.

SELECTION OF WINNER

  • The OzHarvest State Manager and OzHarvest Vic & SA Engagement Manager will conduct the electronic draw.
  • The winner will be chosen at random by electronic draw, which will take place on Tuesday 4 April 11.00am, at OzHarvest’s offices at Unit 3 / 49 Bertie St, Port Melbourne, 3207.
  • The first valid entry drawn will win the 1st prize as described above, and the 2nd to 11th prizes will be drawn thereafter in sequential order.
  • The winners will be notified by phone and in writing (via email) within 2 days of the winner being drawn, and the winners’ details will be published on the OzHarvest website: https://events.ozharvest.org/raffle/grand-prix from Wednesday 5 April 2023.
  • OzHarvest reserves the right to request the winners to submit their ticket receipts as proof of identity and purchase. Proof of identification and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of OzHarvest.
  • OzHarvest will not enter into any correspondence regarding the competition result.

SECOND CHANCE DRAW

  • If the winner does not respond within 3 months of being notified that they have won the raffle, that winner is not readily identified and reasonable efforts have been made by OzHarvest to identify the winner were unsuccessful, they will automatically forfeit their prize and OzHarvest reserves the right to select another winner through a second chance draw.
  • If necessary, a second chance draw will be held on Wednesday 5 April 2023 at the same time and place as the first draw. The first valid entry drawn will win any unclaimed prize.
  • The winner will be notified by phone or email within 2 days of the winner being drawn, and the winner’s details will be published on the OzHarvest website from Thursday 6 April 2023. The winner’s name will be displayed at https://events.ozharvest.org/raffle/grand-prix
  • OzHarvest reserves the right to request the winner to submit their ticket receipt as proof of identity and purchase. Proof of identification and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of OzHarvest
  • OzHarvest will not enter into any correspondence regarding the competition result.

STANDARD TERMS

  • Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify OzHarvest’s liability in relation to the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law (Non-Excludable Guarantees). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, Camp Quality (including its respective officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence) for any personal injury, or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity) whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the raffle including:
    1. any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under OzHarvest’s control);
    2. any theft, unauthorised access or third-party interference;
  • Any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by OzHarvest) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of OzHarvest will be deemed ineligible to enter the raffle.
  • To the extent permitted by law (including the Australian Consumer Law), if for any reason the raffle is not capable of running as planned, including (but not limited to) tampering or any other causes beyond the control of OzHarvest, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of the raffle, OzHarvest reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be appropriate, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the raffle.
  • In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, pandemics, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; OzHarvest may in its absolute discretion cancel or postpone the promotion and recommence it at another time on the same conditions subject to regulatory approval.
  • By entering the raffle, you consent to OzHarvest using your personal information to send you information about OzHarvest’s news, events, products, services and general information about OzHarvest, including by email, text messages and phone calls.

  • By entering into the raffle, the winner agrees to participate in promotional activity relating to the raffle and OzHarvest
  • OzHarvest is not liable for any tax implications arising from prize winnings, including fringe benefits tax. Independent financial advice should be sought prior to accepting the prize.The laws of NSW apply to this competition. Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of NSW.
