Kensington Market Closure

The space for the OzHarvest Kensington Market was donated to OzHarvest in 2017 by TOGA Group, whilst the Development Application (DA) for the site was submitted. After three and a half years the DA for planning approval has been summited and the redevelopment of the site is due to commence in early 2021.

We thank Toga and all stakeholders for being such wonderful partners and giving OzHarvest the opportunity to serve our community with nourishing food.

The last open day will be Wednesday, 23rd December 2020. To celebrate our time together, we will be giving out special Christmas hampers & more!

To continue to support people in need, OzHarvest has opened the OzHarvest Market in Waterloo. Through a generous donation from the City of Sydney we were able to open our second OzHarvest market in July 2020 at 95 Wellington Street Waterloo. We’re planning for this to be open for at least the next two years to everyone and anyone, using our same model of “take what you need, give if you can”.

With food rescue we never really know what we will get from one day to the next. Our aim is to have the Market stocked with fresh, healthy produce such as fruit, veg and pantry staples.

The Waterloo Market has many bus routes running near it, such as the 303, 320 and 343. Redfern train station is 500m up the road and there is a public car park next to the shop.
