Need
French Toast:
2 eggs
½ cup milk
40g butter
8 slices of bread
1 Tsp Cinnamon
1 Tsp Vanilla essence
Maple Syrup or honey
Any cooking oil
Topping:
3-4 bananas
Caster sugar
How
- Whisk together eggs with milk, cinnamon and vanilla essence.
- Dip both sides of the bread slices into the in the egg mixture.
- Add butter and oil to a frypan on medium heat. Cook the bread on both sides until the surface is golden.
- Peel bananas and cut in half lengthways and sprinkle cut side of banana generously with caster sugar.
- Place banana in the same pan cut side down and cook for 2-3 minutes until caramelised – gently move around pan during cooking to prevent sticking
- Serve caramalised banana on top of the french toast warm with a drizzle of maple syrup or honey – Enjoy!
