Workplace Engagement

There's no better way to experience how we 'Nourish our Country' than rolling up your sleeves and getting involved. However you choose to help us, add a splash of yellow and some purpose to your day!

Cooking for a Cause

OzHarvest’s Cooking for a Cause is a hands-on cooking class open to corporate groups.  Led by our phenomenal OzHarvest chefs, teams get busy in the kitchen over a three hour period, transforming rescued food into restaurant quality meals that are then delivered directly to local disadvantaged communities.

Beyond cooking a range of cuisines our chefs will share the unique story of OzHarvest, inspiring attendees with the power of positivity and instilling the value of food and why we shouldn’t waste it. In addition to bonding over delicious food and learning useful cooking tips from a pro, this half day experience will leave a beautiful memory in the hearts and minds of all who attend.

Food Drive

Hosting a food drive is the perfect way to engage your team to support OzHarvest. Food Drives can be run all year round for non-perishable food items only and within use-by date including: pasta, rice, whole grain cereal, canned fruit and veg, tuna, salmon, chicken, beef stews (ring pull), long life milk products, breakfast cereals, tea/coffee, and biscuits (sweet and savoury).

Food containing alcohol cannot be accepted, so please do not collect Christmas Puddings! Please avoid filling heavy boxes, do not wrap the food, leave boxes open. Food donated in eco shopping bags is preferred.

Food Drive items distributed by OzHarvest make an invaluable difference to local vulnerable people. We thank you for your part in helping us to nourish hungry bellies and support those in our community. Click the button below to contact us to collect the food.

Individual Volunteering

There are many wonderful volunteering opportunities available across the country to help support our cause and we encourage people to sign up individually! Currently, we’re unable to offer corporate volunteering sessions but our Cooking for a Cause is a much-loved (paid) program for corporate teams to give back. For national impact we coordinate sessions at our sites across the country.

We couldn’t do what we do without the thousands of volunteers across the country who support our cause.
