Food Rescue
OzHarvest Port Macquarie has been providing food rescue to the community since 2011. With a shiny new yellow van, the team delivers around 14,000 meals every month to people in need throughout their community.
Volunteer
Our dedicated team of local volunteers are invaluable to our operations, assisting our food rescue drivers, allowing us to divert more food from landfill and feed people in need. Our volunteers also help in the kitchen to make nourishing meals, educate people about fighting food waste, and inspire new supporters at community events – these shifts are less frequent and are on an ad hoc basis.

FEAST
FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) is a curriculum aligned program aimed at year 5 and 6 students. FEAST runs for 7-10 weeks and is a STEM project-based learning program focusing on food and sustainability. The teacher-led program can be adapted and changed to suit your school’s needs.
Like any good FEAST, it’s designed to be fun, engaging and filled with good food.
