Food Rescue

The OzHarvest Victor chapter launched in September 2017. Fifteen wonderful volunteers collect rescued food twice weekly from four supermarkets and deliver it to seven agencies, which distribute to those in need in the community.  The Chapter enjoys good support from food donors and collects approximately 1,000kg per week.

Volunteer

We would not be able to do what we do without our dedicated team of volunteers in Victor Harbor who provide much needed support for vulnerable people in the local community. Our volunteers are our in our yellow vans, assisting our food rescue divers to collect good quality food from our donors and deliver it to local charities who support people in need. If you are interested in volunteering with us, we’d love to welcome you to the OzHarvest family! Please click the button below for more details.

FEAST

FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) is a curriculum aligned program aimed at year 5 and 6 students. FEAST runs for 7-10 weeks and is a STEM project-based learning program focusing on food and sustainability. The teacher-led program can be adapted and changed to suit your school’s needs.

Like any good FEAST, it’s designed to be fun, engaging and filled with good food.
